Run your own section of works at a ventilation shaft on a major high-speed rail programme, from methodology and programme through to QA and handover.
The role
A Sub Agent is needed at a ventilation shaft site in Greenford on a major high-speed rail programme. You will develop the methodology, programme and cost for your area of work, lead the site team and subcontractors, and manage quality right through to handover packs and client approval.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the design, construction methodology, programme and cost for your section of works
- Prepare for delivery, including resources, procurement, consents and pre-start documentation
- Manage, supervise and mentor the site team and subcontractors
- Produce detailed programmes and forecasts, track productivity weekly and report to the Construction Manager and QS team
- Make sure RAMS and inspection and test plans are implemented, and manage QA and handover packs
- Liaise with the client, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders
About you
- Degree or HND in civil engineering or a related subject
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, sequencing and contracts
- Confident with MS Office, document control systems and AutoCAD
- Relevant CSCS card and health, safety and environmental training
- Desirable: experience in reinforced concrete, piling and utility works on major urban projects
- Desirable: experience managing teams and subcontractors, and early contractor involvement
